With Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 vehicles have become unstoppable, but leaks suggest that an upcoming Sniper Rifle could potentially counter their dominance.

Vehicles in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 have turned into an absolute menace after Epic Games introduced powerful vehicle mods like bulletproof tires and machine gun turrets with the new update.

While the experience of firing a mounted weapon from a modded vehicle and making quick work of your enemies shakes up the gameplay, players have argued it doesn’t feel good at all to be shot at with one of these mounted turrets, because it’s almost impossible to survive on foot.

Apart from the Nitro Fists, no other weapon on the island is an effective counter to these vehicles in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. However, dataminers suggest that an upcoming Sniper Rifle could be a perfect counter to the souped-up cars on the island.

As revealed by ‘AllyJax_,’ this weapon will be capable of dealing 3x damage to vehicles and holds only one round in the magazine. However, the rest of the stats like the total damage it deals, or the headshot damage are currently unknown.

The release date for this new Sniper Rifle in Fortnite is still unconfirmed, and dataminers also believe that some attachments like the Drum Mag, which increases the number of rounds in a single magazine, won’t be available for the weapon.

Considering that Snipers were vaulted in this season, there were speculations that the Heavy Sniper would be making a return. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case because the projectiles for this new weapon are codenamed “HeavySniper”.

Apart from the vehicle attachments, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 also saw the arrival of the T-60 Power Armor skin and the Nuka-Cola from the Fallout Series along with some new NPCs and POIs on the island for you to explore.
