Fortnite players baffled as hated AR still available after being vaulted

The Warforged Assault Rifle in Fortnite was added during Chapter 5 Season 2 but was dubbed by players as the worst weapon in the game soon after.
It was disliked because you had to use gold bars to mod it to get the most out of it. Without any modifications, the weapon wasn’t good at all, and there are better alternatives available.
In the June 18 hotfix by Epic Games, the Warforged AR was finally vaulted and replaced by the Combat AR. But despite it being vaulted, players discovered that the gun was still available on the island.
To get this weapon, you’ll need to make your way to Sandy Strip and defeat Rust, a Seasonal NPC in the game. Along with all the weapons that he drops, you’ll also be able to pick up the Warforged Assault Rifle which is pre-modded with the Thermal Scope and the Vertical Foregrip.
Players on a different Reddit thread mentioned that the weapon was still available in the Team Rumble mode as well.
The hotfix that vaulted this weapon should ideally have affected this too, but the developers will probably patch it out in the 30.20 update. So, if you’re one of the few players who enjoys the Warforged AR, make your way to the spot mentioned above and defeat the NPC to get your hands on the weapon.
