Fortnite players can’t unlock Cybertruck due to “horrible” Quest restriction
Epic GamesThe Fortnite Summer Road Trip questline was added in the 30.30 update and will reward you with the Cybertruck for completing it. However, players are extremely annoyed with the quests because one particular challenge is forcing solo players to look for parties.
Fortnite caters to a wide variety of players including the ones who want to play solo. Most of the quests in the game are designed in such a way that it doesn’t matter if you’re completing them as a team or just by yourself.
However, one particular challenge in the Fortnite Summer Road Trip questline requires players to earn 60,000 XP across the different modes but to do so, they have to be in a party. Although this doesn’t sound like a problem, the fact that squad fills don’t count is an issue for players.
Fortnite player hwanlv took to Reddit to vent their annoyances, and many players echoed a similar sentiment about the quest.
Players were actively seeking help to complete this particular quest, with one saying, “Messed up part is you can’t even use the ‘fill’ option. You gotta have friends that actually play it and squad up with them. Anybody wanna help a guy out?”
Expressing their frustration, one player added, “It does irritate me when this game tries to force me to play with other people,” while another straight up dubbed these quests as “horrible.”
Others shared various methods from creating bot accounts to creating a new account on a different platform just for the sake of completing this challenge. A different player said, “It’s alt accounting time,” suggesting that using alt accounts could be a solution to the problem at hand.
Although it’s unclear if the developers had intentionally disabled the “Squad Fill” option for this particular quest, players feel that enabling it would make the quests much more manageable.
