Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 saw the arrival of the EvoChrome weapons to the game. These weapons were quite popular and players are desperate to see these weapons return in the new season.

Upgrade benches in Fortnite have been a constant part of the game since Chapter 2 Season 1. However, in Chapter 3 Season 2, the developers introduced the EvoChrome weapons in the game that could be upgraded through a different process.

What was special about these weapons was that they would evolve based on the amount of damage that you dealt while using them. Although the weapons were available for one season only, they quickly rose to popularity and players continue to miss them to this day.

As mentioned on Reddit by ‘karuma77’, these weapons started at Common (Green) rarity and could be evolved to Mythic rarity by getting a specific number of kills in Fortnite.

Players within the Fortnite community on Reddit agreed with what the OP had to say, echoing a similar sentiment. One player commented, “I miss them every day! The EvoChrome weapons were so unique and fun and upgrading them was so satisfying.”

Another Redditor compared them to the weapon attachments from the current season and said, “They were so much fun compared to weapon attachments even tho it was just 2 guns.” ‘Sqaure_ebb_5926’ added, “Yeah they encouraged active PvP to upgrade them and they were pretty good fully upgraded.”

There were a few players who pointed out that the weapons were vaulted and were never added to the Fortnite Creative Mode, unlike many other weapons in the game. ‘Tgbard01’ said, “I wish they were in creative.”

OP replied to the comment, saying, “It always surprised me how I never saw them in the free-for-all creative games as they have almost every weapon, heals, etc., from previous chapters and seasons in them.”

It’s worth noting that the EvoChrome weapons were added to the Horde Rush LTM in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4. However, with the OG season update, the weapons were removed from the files.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 will be going live on March 8, but there’s nothing to suggest that these fan-favorite weapons will make a return.
