Fortnite unvaulted the Bussiness Turrent in Chapter 5 Season 1, and players have mixed opinions about this seemingly overpowered weapon.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is on its final stretch before a new season starts in March, and players still have lots to do in the different game modes. Alongside LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing, the Battle Royale and Zero Build modes receive regular updates that revitalize the loot pool and add weapons, items, and NPCs to keep the experience fresh for all players.

One of the most recent updates unvaulted the Business Turret originally added in Chapter 4 Season 4. This brought joy to many players but also disappointed part of the player base that didn’t want to see the item again.

Mixed opinions reached Reddit thanks to a player asking “How do we feel about these?” referring to the infamous Business Turret.

Business Turret in Fortnite
The Business Turret can lock onto targets and shoot them without fail in a certain range.

Many players found the Business Turret “Fantastic at stopping vault campers,” while others jokingly added it’s equally useful “for vault camping.” While most fans agreed that is a great asset in battle, they also thought that it’s a very annoying item when it’s used against them.

“Now in solo you can have an NPC acting as a bullet sponge, a super accurate turret, and yourself lol,” commented user ‘Electric_jungle,’ and added, “Not unstoppable but boy is that a tough put to run into if you’re not careful.”

Some users stated that the Business Turret can give any player a cheap win, only to jokingly add that’s why they use it whenever they can. On a more serious note, one player commented: “It’s the HP of the damn thing. I don’t mind the DPS, just make it, not a godd*mn bullet sponge.” Another user added: “Coupled with the cloak, and it’s an easy elimination each time.”

On a different Reddit post, user ‘use_roar’ shared a clip of a Victory Royale they earned thanks to the Business Turret alongside the caption “Turret meta? lmao.”

While players were also discussing the item in this thread, many noticed that the turret placed on top of a jumping pad was still there, floating, when the pad was destroyed by another player. While this seems to be a bug, some players in the replies are eager to try the technique, especially in Zero Build.

User ‘FLorida_Man_09’ commented: “I wonder if you could build a decent sized build that is just high enough to mess with people, place the turret, and then destroy the build, and now you have a UAV machine gun lol.” We’ll have to wait and see if other players try this, and if Epic Games does something about it, but it seems like the Business Turret can be even deadlier than players thought.

Either way, most players agreed that it can be a “game changer” in Zero Build, but players have more ways to counter it in the Battle Royale, making it “useless.”
