Fortnite players fed up of seeing same “stupid” skin added to Item Shop

Fortnite has over 2000 skins for players to choose from, but only a handful of these skins make it to the Item Shop at any given time. However, players are already tired of seeing the same skin added to the in-game store.

The Fortnite Item Shop skin rotation ensures that every skin in their entire catalog makes an appearance in the in-game store occasionally. However, some of the skins can be seen more frequently, while some rarely appear in the store once or twice in a row.

With the arrival of LEGO Fortnite, some of the commonly seen skins are coming back into rotation because of their LEGO variant. This has caused outrage in the Fortnite community because players are tired of seeing the same skin in the Item Shop.

As player ‘Prodbypxylwhip’ pointed out on Reddit, the Fortnite Brat Skin has been in the Item Shop a staggering 57 times already. They said, “We didn’t want him the first 20 times, we don’t want him now.”

The Fortnite Brat Skin is priced at 1,200 V-Bucks and can be purchased through the Item Shop only. One player retorted, “Even he looks tired of being in the shop,” to which ‘Dynamaxwolf’ said, “Can’t blame him tbh. Bro comes back more often than any actual good skin.”

Players believe that he’s being brought back to the Item Shop so often because there’s a LEGO variant to his skin as well, and Epic Games is keeping skins that don’t have a LEGO variant out of the shop for the time being. Redditor ‘Rough-Lychee5785’ said, “They thought that he would be the next Peely.”

Others raised similar questions about the streamer skins in the Fortnite Item Shop. Another fan said, “They take up half the store every time they show up and stay for like a week. No one gives a **** about them if they don’t have them already.”

The frustration within the community was quite evident when one player said, “I’d fire the ******* who keeps re-releasing this stupid ******* skin.”

While most players expressed similar opinions about the cosmetics, especially the streamer and the collaboration skins in the in-game store, another player had a slightly different opinion.

According to them, Epic Games couldn’t remove a skin from the Fortnite Item Shop unless the contract was fulfilled. They said, “Epic literally can’t or won’t show a certain skin unless the company that owns the right to it agrees to it. That is literally why Kratos hasn’t been in the shop since forever.”

As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see which skins come in the Fortnite Item Shop over the next few weeks. To know more about the game, be sure to check out how Survivor Medals work in Fortnite, and what players have to say about a “pay-to-lose” skin in the game.
