Fortnite players share simple trick to farm Gold Bars in Chapter 4 Season 4
Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is in full swing and players discovered a new simple method to get Gold Bars fast. Here’s everything you need to know about farming Gold Bars in Fortnite.
Fortnite players are enjoying everything Chapter 4 Season 4 has to offer thanks to its map changes and exciting rewards in the Battle Pass. They’re also trying out brand-new weapons introduced in the latest hotfix. What’s more, one of the new weapons allows players to get Gold Bars easily thanks to a simple trick.
The weapon in the spotlight is the new Shield Breaker EMP grenade. Epic Games added the new weapon to give players an edge when facing security cameras and turrets in Kado Thorne’s strongholds. The new weapon can also deal 70 damage to players’ Shields, making it a great addition to the current season. However, players also discovered a trick that lets them stock up on Gold Bars quickly.
Content creator iFireMonkey shared a short clip showcasing how to use the Shield Breaker EMP to get between 50 and 150 Gold Bars in Fortnite. All you have to do is approach a Vending Machine and throw a Shield Breaker EMP at it. Doing this will make the Vending Machine, also known as Weapon-O-Matic, malfunction and spit a large amount of Gold Bars.
Just make sure you’re keeping a safe distance to avoid taking damage from the Shield Breaker EMP.
Although iFireMonkey recommends throwing the grenade when the Weapon-O-Matic’s screen is blue, players in the comments confirmed it also gives Gold Bars when the screen is red. It’s recommended to wait at least two seconds between throws to ensure you’ll get the gold.
It’s also worth noting that there’s no confirmation yet whether this is an intended mechanic or a glitch, so we don’t know if you’ll be able to use this trick all season. For comparison, 131 is the minimum Gold Bars players can get by opening a Safe, so there’s a possibility the Vending Machine trick isn’t intentional.
You can use Gold Bars to purchase items from Vending Machines or NPCs, hire characters for Weekly Quests, or re-roll your Augment selection screen.
