Fortnite Winterfest 2024 update 33.11 patch notes: Winterfest Cabin, free rewards & more
Epic GamesFortnite’s annual winter updates have been a tradition since 2017. Each year, Epic Games adds Christmas-themed decor to the island, along with free items for players to grab.
In December 2024, with the arrival of Chapter 6 Season 1, this year’s Winterfest looks no different. There’s already excitement around the cosmetics and gameplay items that have been added in the v33.11 holiday update.

Fortnite Winterfest 2024 release date
Fortnite Winterfest 2024 will be released on December 20, 2024.
A hotfix v31.11 has added Christmas-themed content to the game that will officially launch this week in Chapter 6 Season 1. Here’s an early look at all the content arriving this year.

Snoop Dogg, Shaq & Mariah Carey skins
First up, the Doggfather Snoop Dogg returns with his third in-game skin themed after the holiday season, called the Snoop on the Stoop skin. This outfit will also be visible inside the Winterfest 2024 cabin and is reportedly a free skin.
NBA legend Shaq is also receiving his own holiday-themed cosmetic outfit which joins his existing two outfits in the game. A Mariah Carey skin is also arriving in the game, which will also be an NPC on the island which will appear soon.
Once you talk to her she’ll reward you with a free emote.
Winterfest Cabin returns with gifts
The Winterfest Cabin is finally returning in Winterfest 2024 after being absent for the last two years. The cabin is itself another menu within the Fortnite lobby that allows players to open one free gift each day until Christmas.
This year’s cabin houses Snoop Dogg and Flakey the Snowbird who guard the gifts in front of a Christmas Tree and can also be greeted when you spend time in the lobby. In the past, players have received gifts such as free skins, gliders like the Millennium Falcon, and more cosmetic items which are now rare.
Winterfest quests and rewards
Winterfest 2024 also brings a set of themed quests that players can complete in exchange for free XP and rewards. However, the quests have only been shown to grant players free XP this time, as all the cosmetic items are within the Winterfest Cabin gifts.
They are Yule Bag Back Bling, Llama Llightbulb Emoticon, Crashed Chiller Spray, and more items.
Cyberpunk, Skibidi Toilet, Batman Ninja & more collabs
One of the major highlights of the Winterfest update is endless collaborations that have arrived and will be released gradually up until Christmas. These include a vehicle from Cyberpunk 2077, Batman Ninja and Samurai Harley Quinn skins, Samurai Darth Vader, and more that will be added to the Item Shop.
Leaks have also revealed a Mecha Godzilla skin will be added, but that’s most likely to be on Page 2 of Godzilla rewards in Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass.
More Winterfest skins
Lastly, a bunch of Winterfest skins were decrypted with the v33.11 hotfix, which will be released in the winter-themed Item Shop starting December 20th. This will also include a Christmas Tree Guff skin which is going to be a shop outfit rather than a free one.
You’ll not only be able to claim one, but two free skins from the Winterfest 2024 cabin gifts, the other one being the Yule Jacket skin in Fortnite.
