The challenges for Week 9 are now live, so here’s everything you have to do, and some tips on how to complete them.
Fortnite Season 5, Week 9 Quests
We’re now into Week 9 of Fortnite Chapter 2, with a fresh set of challenges for you to complete.
Here are the Week 9 challenges:
- Shakedown an IO Guard (1)
- Find a hidden bunker (1)
- Find the crashed plane’s black box (1)
- Deal damage while in water (200)
- Emote at stone statues (1)
- Ride the Steamy Stacks (1)
- Deal damage to a Loot Shark (500)
- Shakedown opponents (5/10/15/20/25)
Week 9’s challenges are simple compared to previous weeks, where Week 8 had you fight over the trucks dotted around the map and deliver them to Sunflower’s Farm.
Riding the Steamy Stacks is easy, simply head over to the Steamy Stacks and go under the chimney, and you’ll be carried up by the steam.
IO Guard’s have been included in previous weekly challenges, so you can follow our guide on where to find them. Knock down an IO Guard, walk up to them, and give them a good shake using your interact button.
You can find a secret bunker on the cliffs to the east of Retail Row, and the crashed plane’s black box is found on the south-east edge of Coral Castle. Find the box with the tape recorder beside the plane and interact with it to complete the challenge.
You should try to hang about areas with lakes and rivers to deal damage in water and find a loot shark. If you see an enemy, simply jump into the water and try to deal 200 damage to them. Keep an eye out for Loot Sharks swimming around, and deal as much damage to them as you can.
The Stone Statues can be found on the coast directly south-west of Weeping Woods. Simply land in front of the statue and do your favorite emote.
The Quest Bundles Legendary challenges will also ask you to shake down 25 opponents. The IO Guards actually count for this challenge, so you can double up on your Quests here.
If you’re yet to finish your Chapter 2 Season 5 Battle Pass, completing these Week 9 challenges will give you a significant boost.
