How to get TMNT Weapons in Fortnite: Leonardo’s Katanas, Raphael’s Sai, more
Epic GamesThe Fortnite TMNT event, Cowabunga, is now live, and the Quests task players with tracking down TMNT Weapons. Here’s how to get TMNT Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 has been packed with crossovers so far, from Family Guy’s Peter Griffin taking over the map to Solid Snake arriving as a skin. One of the biggest, however, has been with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as all four brothers and even April O’Neil all arrived on the island.
Now, the devs are taking the collaboration to a new level with the Cowabunga event, introducing a set of Quests to complete to unlock a Shredder skin. As part of the event, TMNT Weapons have been added to the loot pool, leaving players wondering how to get hold of these powerful items.
Here’s how to get TMNT Weapons in Fortnite.
Where to find TMNT Weapons in Fortnite
TMNT Weapons can be found in Fortnite by opening chests and Ninja Supply Drops, or by purchasing them from Vending Machines found around the map.
They have been added to the regular loot pool, so there’s a slim chance of finding them inside any chest, but the other two options guarantee at least one of them. The Supply Drops will arrive randomly during a match, but you can find the location of Vending Machines on the map below:
What are TMNT Weapons in Fortnite?
There are four different TMNT Weapons in Fortnite, with each being the signature weapon wielded by one of the turtles: Leonardo’s Katanas, Raphael’s Sai, Michelangelo’s Nunchaku, and Donatello’s Staff.
According to the official blog, the four weapons all feature the same four abilities, albeit with “slightly different stats” depending on which one you find. Check out all four skills below:
- Attack (Primary fire)
- Air Attack (Primary fire while in the air)
- Dash Attack (Secondary fire)
- Double Jump (Jump again while in the air)
As these are melee weapons, there is no need to collect ammo to use them consistently. However, every ability other than the double jump uses one of three charges that refresh after 10 seconds.
There you have it! That was everything you need to know about how to get TMNT Weapons in Fortnite and what they do.
