How to play Halo’s Blood Gulch map in Fortnite Season 5
The iconic Blood Gulch map is in Fortnite and fans everywhere can flock to the Battle Royale shooter to indulge in one of Halo’s most popular maps of all-time.
There had been some speculation that Halo was about to perform a sensational crossover with Epic Game’s Fortnite as the legendary soldier Master Chief’s skin was leaked prior to the announcement.
We then got the official confirmation during the 2020 Game Awards that not only a skin was incoming, but that players will now be able to wage war in Halo’s treasured Blood Gulch map.
Blood Gulch in Fortnite
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5 has been a wild time for surprises with Season 5 containing The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda, and Master Chief. Exotic and desirable skins are nothing new when it comes to Fortnite, but recreating old multiplayer maps from famous franchises is something a bit different.
If you’re already chomping at the bit to play some Blood Gulch with your friends and relive the glory days, then carry on reading as we’ll tell you everything you need to know.
Firstly, the map isn’t being put into the game’s official playlists, it will just be a side map for you to play. You will however be able to play Capture The Flag on it socially with your friends.
In order to access it, you’ll need to head to the Creative Section and select Blood Gulch from there. Now, you’ll all be able to equip the Master Chief skin and essentially play Halo, in Fortnite.
Master Chief skin
If you want to know about how to get the Master Chief skin, then it’s quite simple. You will initially need to decide if you just want the basic Master Chief skin or the complete set, and then you’ll have to fork out real money for the right V-Bucks.
For the complete set, here’s what you’ll need to pay.

For individual Master Chief items, here is how much each part costs.
- Master Chief Skin: 1,500 V-Bucks
- UNSC Pelican Glider: 1,200 V-Bucks
- Gravity Hammer Pickaxe: 800 V-Bucks
- Lil’ Warthog Emote: 500 V-Bucks
The inclusion of this Halo content is a massive win for Epic Games and they are showing no signs of letting up with Fortnite.
