Pro Fortnite player’s PC completely destroyed by father during FNCS tournament
A Fortnite player competing in the Fortnite Champion Series has had their PC completely destroyed, as their father decided they had played enough.
Fortnite is an extremely competitive game, and for those who like to take the game seriously, the FNCS tournament is one of the best ways to show your skills and also win some money.
This is an annual tournament held by Epic Games, with a prize pool of $3 million USD. Unfortunately, the opportunity to play in this tournament has been ruined for one player, as their father decided to completely destroy their PC setup.
The FNCS tournament began on July 8 with the Qualifiers, drawing in competitive Fortnite players across various countries and platforms.
Fortnite Player Rem was in the middle of competing when his PC was completely destroyed by his Father on July 9. According to Jake Lucky‘s report, the player “had to go to a family member’s house mid tournament, his dad gave him a couple of minutes to get off, when Rem refused, he smashed everything.”
In the video that the player posted, you can see that their whole PC setup was destroyed, including their monitors and headset.
You can imagine that the player is absolutely devastated, especially as they state they paid for everything that was destroyed. However, Jake Lucky has confirmed that he will be able to provide Rem with a “brand new PC.”
The player is clearly appreciative of the effort, thanking PowerGPU and Class, who collaborated with Jake in order to get Rem a new PC.
Although the player may not be able to compete in the current FNCS, at least they know a replacement PC will be on its way, saving the player a lot of money.
The Fortnite community and Jake Lucky, have done a great job at highlighting this, as the player would have no PC to practice and play on without the awareness.
