Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 got underway on August 16, but there are still regular updates planned to keep the game feeling fresh.

Each patch introduces new features, from exciting crossovers with high-profile franchises to powerful weapons that alter the meta.

So, when is the next Fortnite update? Here’s everything we know.

Fortnite v31.10 release date leaked

The next Fortnite update will be the v31.10 patch on September 4, 2024, according to a leaked schedule from reliable insider ‘ShiinaBR.’ Updates are rolled out roughly every two weeks, and the last one was Chapter 5 Season 4 (31.00) on August 16.

We know very little about what will be included in the patch, but there have been some leaks and teasers that could shed some light on what’s to come. Since this is a Marvel-themed season, as well as the teasers found around the map, it’s thought that the Fantastic Four could arrive at a later date.

However, given that the characters have all seemingly met a grisly fate as seen inside Castle Doom, it remains to be seen if their return is something that’s planned for later in the season.

Chapter 5 Season 4 update schedule leaked

  • v31.10: September 4
  • v31.20: September 17
  • v31.30: October 1
  • v31.40: October 15

It wasn’t just the next Fortnite update that Shiina leaked, it was the schedule for the entire season. Based on their X post, it appears that Chapter 5 Season 4 will stick to the format of bringing out new patches every two weeks or so through to the next seasonal update.

According to a leaked 2024 roadmap that has so far proven to be accurate, the Marvel season will be replaced by Chapter 2 OG on November 2.

Of course, it’s worth remembering that this is all based on leaks, so the plans could easily change. In the meantime, be sure to complete all Fortnite Weekly Quests and check out how to get some free V-Bucks.
