Where to find gas pumps for Fortnite Week 8 challenge
There are brand new challenges in Week 8 of Fortnite Season 5, and one of the Epic Quests requires you to blow up a gas pump. Here’s where you can find one on the map, and get this done.
We’re now in Week 8 of Fortnite Season 5 and Epic Games have brought a brand new set of weekly challenges that are available until Thursday, January 28. You can earn some serious XP to advance towards the next tier of the Battle Pass.
This week’s theme is farming, as three of the challenges will have you head over to a farm or Farmer’s Market on the map. However, there are also some regular tasks, including one that requires you to blow up a gas pump.
Where to find and destroy gas pumps in Fortnite
First thing’s first; you’ll have to find a gas pump before you can blow it up. Luckily, there are several of them spread out across Fortnite Island, so that gives you multiple opportunities to complete the challenge while making your way across the map.

You only need to destroy a single gas pump in order to finish this Epic Quest, so pick one to visit and bring your weapon with you. We’ve made things a bit easier for you by marking the locations of all gas stations on the map below.
Once you land at one of these locations, you’ll need to shoot at the gas pump with a weapon. After taking some damage, it will explode so make sure that you do it from a distance. You can get faster results with an assault rifle.
Here’s how you can complete the ‘Blow up a gas pump’ Fortnite challenge:
- Jump from the Battle Bus and land close to a gas station.
- Pick up a weapon.
- Stand at a moderate distance from the gas pump at the front of the station.
- Shoot the gas pump until it explodes.
Alternatively, you can also drive a vehicle into the gas pump, and this will blow it up immediately. You can usually find a car close to the station, which makes this one of the quickest ways to complete the challenge.
You will probably face a lot of competition from other players trying to complete this Epic Quest, so be quick about getting it done. There are various different gas stations across the map, so you’ll have plenty of options.

You will be able to earn 20,000 XP for successful completion of this, and with each Epic Quest that’s available this week. You can earn up to 140,000 XP by getting them all, plus an additional 55,500 XP with week 8’s Legendary Quest.
