Forza Motorsport has multiple camera settings, and each has a custom FOV slider. If you’re wondering which values are best, here’s all you need to know about the best camera setting for Forza Motorsport.

Even though most of the camera settings in Forza Motorsport depend largely on preference and the platform you’re playing on, tweaking a few numbers here and there can make a considerable difference.

Of course, just making the FOV wider or narrower will not guarantee a podium finish. For that, refer to our general tips for Forza Motorsport and the best cars for each class. However, having the best FOV and camera settings will certainly improve your experience.

Here are all the best camera and FOV settings for Forza Motorsport.

Best FOV settings in Forza Motorsport

First, to change the camera setting in Forza Motorsport, head to the Settings menu and you should see a Camera setting in the Gameplay & HUD section. Set the Custom Camera FOV to On and now you can change every view’s FOV.

Here are all the ideal FOV values:

  • Chase Near
    • 45 – 50
  • Chase Far
    • 45 – 50
  • Driver
    • 50
  • Cockpit
    • 50
  • Hood
    • 40 – 45
  • Bumper
    • 40 – 45

Remember, these values are recommended with the assumption that you’re not sitting far away from your desktop or console. If you’re after a perfect setting, just refer to any “FOV Calculators,” add your setup, and you should get an ideal FOV setting.

Cockpit view driving in Forza Motorsport
There are six different camera views in Forza Motorsport.

Here are some other camera settings you should also alter for a better all-round Forza experience:

  • Camera Motion Effect: Off
  • Cockpit Drift Camera: Off

Which is the best Camera view for Forza Motorsport?

The best camera view in Forza Motorsport is the cockpit view since it is a sim racing game and they’re best when played with full immersion. Although, it is mostly subjective and there are other options that are just as good. Here is the best view for each situation:

  • For maximum immersion, go with the Cockpit View. It is the ideal view if you’re on wheels.
  • When competitive, the Bumper or Hood works better.
  • For first-timers and more casual racing, Chase Views are the best.

If you play a lot of arcade racers, Chase will be the most prominent view, so you can stick with that in Forza Motorsport as well.
