Disclaimer: Josh Olin is not involved in the Call of Duty franchise, and hasn’t been since 2011.
We caught up with former Treyarch Community Manager Josh Olin – more commonly known as “JD_2020” within the Call of Duty Community. (You might remember the #BlameJD hashtag and so on – it’s common for a CM of any franchise to receive an element of blame).
Josh Olin became the Community Manager for Treyarch during the launch year of World At War back in 2008, and continued his role into the release of Black Ops in 2010 before then moving on to other projects outside of the franchise.
As someone who was involved in the franchise during it’s peak growth period, we thought we’d get a different perspective on the direction of Call of Duty to this day from Josh in the form of an interview.
Best Fortnite Hide & Seek codes: July 2022
The Creative library of Fortnite consists of a wide range of mini-games that add an element of excitement amongst the player base and allows them to take a more casual approach towards the game. Here are some Hide and Seek mini-game codes that are in-game right now.
Fortnite Creative maps have went through an entire era of evolution when map creators bring popular games to their respective island creations. From Fall Guys inspired obstacle courses to Murder Mystery maps, creators have blessed the player-base of Fortnite with interesting creations.
Ever since Epic Games added The Block and introduced its Creative Game Mode in 2019, Fortnite has seen vast evolution by Map Creators who dedicate their time and creativity to creating an experience for the loopers. This has paved the way for several designers and map creators of other games to create their own ideas of a game in the vast multiverse of Fortnite and make money using its lucrative Support-A-Creator program.
However, some games are loved by the community for their stability, innovation, and friendly gameplay, while some are heavily dissed by them. One such Creative game that is still loved by the community is Hide and Seek.
Fortnite players love to play the classic Hide and Seek in gorgeously created Creative Island Maps where they can hop on with their friends and have a good time without having to engage in serious gun-to-gun action. Here are some trending Hide and Seek Map codes for you to try as of July 2022.
Fortnite Hide and Seek Map Codes: July 2022
Hunted was created by MERLIN.CREATOR who was heavily inspired by games like Dead By Daylight and Evolve to create this horrific Hide and Seek Experience in Fortnite Creative.
The rules are pretty simple as there are Four Survivors on the map who need to destroy Five binding cubes spread across a farm to escape it and at the same time escape the hunter. To destroy these cubes, players are each given a Repair Torch, while the Hunter hunts them down with a pickaxe and eliminates them.
Borderlands Infection Hide & Seek: 4819-8403-7360
Borderlands Infection: Hide & Seek was created by NootNu and as the name suggests, is inspired by the Borderlands game series. The official description of the map reads:
“Play as either a Survivor: trying to survive the apocalyptic horde seeking to convert you, or an Infected: a specialized, pickaxe-only player trying to turn survivors onto your team. And beware of unexpecting twists at the end of each round to keep all players on their toes.”
The gameplay has a zombie-style slant to it, as the Survivor team runs away from the infected with a gun and only 20 bullets in it. Infected can choose their class with different abilities and converts the survivors to their team by pickaxing them. The game begins with only one Infected and takes place in 3 different interesting environments.

Modern City Hide & Seek: 7477-6379-1293
This modernized version of Hide and Seek was created by map creator Robotwarior62 and features a map much like the famous Fortnite POI Tilted Towers. This map rests basically on the classic parkour mechanics that have been in Fortnite ever since the inception of Parkour based Creative maps.
Moreover, with the introduction of modern Mantle and Sprint mechanics, the fun of Hide and Seek in this map has been elevated for players to enjoy, jumping between buildings and heights to escape the Hunter.
Prop Hunt – Wizards Great Hall: 1474-2507-3173
This Harry Potter-inspired map was created by veteran map creator Marablind who has made a visual treat for the fans of the J.K. Rowling franchise to enjoy. The map shows a Hogwarts-style dining hall with several props one can choose from to hide from the evil Death Eaters who hunts the players down.
Here players are wizards and have magic abilities to escape and hide from the Death Eaters, who also have certain abilities to catch their opponents. This is basically a Hide and Seek map but with magical abilities.
The Props that Stole Christmas: 7115-2100-1957
This Christmas themed map was created by RichImpulse and plays sort of like an Uno Reverse Card on the traditional Hide and Seek map. Here Elves are trying to make toys in Santa’s factory just before Christmas and the hiders who are props will try to stop them. The map contains exciting items for hiders to choose from as Elves carry a weapon to eliminate these props ruining the spirit of the Holiday Season.
Portable Redeploy Balloon coming soon in Warzone Season 4
Warzone Season 4 will offer players another way to get around the map, with Portable Redeploy Balloons set to arrive later in the season.
Warzone players are set to receive another way to get around Caldera in Season 4, with Portable Redeploy Balloons scheduled to arrive later in the season.
Warzone’s Caldera has undergone a major facelift for Season 4, with plenty of map changes designed to make it easier and more enjoyable to play. Despite that, the island is still huge, and getting around without a vehicle can be a frustrating experience.
One of the ways that Raven attempted to combat this issue was by taking inspiration from another battle royale. Apex Legends fans instantly recognized Warzone’s Redeploy Balloons, which allowed players to zip up a rope and get launched into the air.
Since their introduction in Season 2, these balloons have been in specific places that players needed to head to. That’s set to change later in Warzone Season 4.
Portable Redeploy Balloons will give players the chance to fly into the air at any time, as long as they have one of these useful tools in their inventory. They can be placed anywhere on the island, and will immediately allow for some great rotational movement.

They won’t hang around on the map forever though, as they will despawn after a certain amount of time, although the length of their existence hasn’t been confirmed just yet.
Players will also be able to destroy them, which could stop enemies from getting away, or stop opponents from following you.
Unfortunately, Portable Redeploy Balloons won’t be in Warzone with the Season 4 patch, with Raven confirming that they would arrive “later in season.”
It’s possible we may see this item in the mid-season update, but the developers didn’t give an exact release date, so as soon as we know we’ll be sure to update you.

Vanguard players are sick of “similar” weapons after Season 4 roadmap reveal
Vanguard players have called for more variety in the post-launch weapons after seeing the roadmap for Season 4.
Brand-new weapons have steadily been rolling out into CoD Vanguard with each new update. But after it was announced that Season 4 will add yet another SMG and LMG to the game, players are calling on the devs to mix it up a bit.
Vanguard Season 4 is set to drop on June 22, and it’s set to mark the return of classic Zombies map Shi no Numa, and the fan-favorite Gun Game mode. It’s also coming with two brand-new weapons on day one, with more to come later down the line.
New weapons are always welcome, but some Vanguard players are tired of the devs adding similar guns in each update and have demanded more variety in later seasons.
Following the announcement of the Season 4 roadmap, which features Marco 5 SMG and UGM-8 LMG on launch day, Reddit user Theworldrotates posted to criticize the new weapons.
“We do not need another SMG. Back to back, we’ve gotten similar function LMGs,” said the OP. “How about a new Shotgun or Assault Rifle?”
They accompanied the post with a screenshot of some of the other weapons that have come since Vanguard’s release. The H4 Blixen, Armaguerra 43, and Welgun have all been added post-launch, all of which are close-range SMGs that “look similar and act similarly.”
Other commentators pointed out a number of iconic WWII-era weapons that are still missing from Vanguard’s roster that would work well as Battle Pass unlocks.
“Wtf are these guns? I want the FG-42 and the Springfield. And I’m pretty sure Arthur is holding a Lee-Enfield on the box art, lol,” said one Redditor.
“How about Lewis gun, M1 carbine, FG-42, Grease Gun, Lee Enfield, m1903 Springfield, M1941 Johnson, MG-15, MP-28, or even a Winchester lever-action?” replied another.
A new Assault Rifle is coming later in Vanguard Season 4 in the form of the Vargo-S. However, it’s hard to argue that SMGs, in particular, have dominated the post-launch content.
With a few more seasons left before the release of Moder Warfare 2 later this year, fans will be hoping that the developers look elsewhere and add a wider variety of classic guns.
