All Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
There are ten classes that are divided into three categories of Vocations in Dragons Dogma 2, which are as follows:
- Starting Vocations: Fighter, Mage, Thief, and Archer
- Advanced Vocations: Warrior and Sorcerer
- Hybrid Vocations: Mystic Spearhand, Magick Archer, Trickster, and Warfarer
Starting Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Fighter
The Fighter is the generic RPG hero that is focused more on the defensive side, with strength-based gameplay. Dawning a full-plate Knight armor with a sword and a shield, the Fighter should be your go-to choice if you are a fan of melee combat, and aren’t afraid of charging head-first into battle.
Mage
As the name suggests, the Mage is a ranged support class that can adopt both offensive and defensive playstyles. Although the main purpose for having a Mage Pawn or being one yourself is healing your companions and providing backup support, you can fire devastating spells every now and then as well in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Thief
Back to another close-range melee class, the Thief is focused on fast swift attacks and exceptional mobility on the battlefield. However, that comes at the cost of low defenses as the thief might be nimble on the feet, but won’t be able to absorb a lot of damage.
Archer
As the name suggests, the Archer is another ranged class that attacks enemies from a distance with a bow. Just like the Thief, they have to be nimble on foot and deal damage quickly from a distance to provide backup support to the party in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Advanced Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Warrior
By bringing the Warrior class in Dragon’s Dogma 2, Capcom have successfully summoned every strength main in the RPG community. Unlike the Fighter, a Warrior has the option to use either a shield or a heavy two-handed weapon like Hammers or Greatswords.
Sorcerer
Sorcerers in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are like powerful versions of Mages. However, while Sorcerers are tailored to play a support role, Sorcerers are efficient with offensive spells. The only downside is that they lack the defensive capabilities that a Mage has.
Hybrid Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Hybrid Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are special classes that can only be taken up by the Arisen, which means you cannot use any hybrid class as a Pawn in the game.
Mystic Spearhand
The Mystic Spearhand is for you if love both melee and magic in RPG titles. This Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2 will allow you to hit enemies with damaging spells from a distance, and once they get close to you, simply shift to melee and destroy them.
Magick Archer
The Magick Archer will never run out of arrows as long as you have magick, because it does not need physical arrows in the first place. Aside from choosing which magical element you want to use, you will also never miss your target with this class.
Trickster
The Trickster is the newest addition to this list, as this Vocation is all about using illusions and utilizing the environment as traps for your enemies. You can use your special weapon called Censer to create illusions to divert your enemies or buff your allies while trapping your foes at the same time.
Warfarer
The Warfarer is a Vocation that is exclusive to the Arisen, and based on what we’ve seen so far, it looks to be the most versatile class in the game. It lets you use any weapon and learn skills from different Vocations, allowing you to switch your combat strategies in real time. The flexibility of picking different weapons will also let you target enemy weaknesses more easily.
