Do you need to use microtransactions in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

You do not need the microtransactions in Dragon’s Dogma 2 because you can get them in the game too, as confirmed by the developers through a message on Steam.

There’s a considerable amount of outrage from players based on the microtransactions, because they’ve mentioned that everything that is being sold can be obtained in the game easily, either by exploring the world or by purchasing the required items from the shop using the in-game currency.

Is Dragon’s Dogma 2 pay to win?

Although the nature of the microtransactions in Dragon’s Dogma 2 do make the game somewhat pay-to-win, that isn’t really the case here.

Whenever you get to purchase items and consumables that will give you a head start in the game through microtransactions, this could be seen as pay-to-win.

However, most of the items you can purchase through microtransactions are easily available in Dragon’s Dogma 2. You can find these items by killing monsters, looting them in the world, or even purchasing them through the shops in the game.

So keeping this in mind, it’s safe to say that Dragon’s Dogma 2 isn’t entirely pay-to-win, but with these purchases, you can definitely make the early game stages easier for yourself.
