All Nightingale Apex Creature bosses & where to find them
Inflexion GamesThere are plenty of creatures to hunt in Nightingale and, for a serious challenge, you can visit the Apex Creatures. To help you get the best loot, here’s everything to know about Nightingale Apex Creatures, including their locations and how to beat them.
Co-op survival games like Dead by Daylight, Rust, and Minecraft have remained relevant for a long time and the genre keeps evolving with new titles. Following Palworld, Nightingale has entered its Early Access and you can finally get your hands on the newest game by Mass Effect devs.
Nightingale, like most survival games, is tough, as you have to collect resources to get stronger while also hunting creatures and surviving environmental threats. Cards help you alter the procedurally generated worlds around you, and while exploring them, you might stumble upon an Apex Creature.
To be prepared for such fights, here’s where to find all the Apex Creatures in Nightingale and how to beat them.
What are Apex Creatures in Nightingale?
Apex Creatures in Nightingale are slightly different from other bosses because the latter are naturally hostile. In contrast, Apex Creatures do not attack unless you harm them first or enrage them with a wrong offering.
You can use a Major Hunt card to spawn an Apex Creature in your biome and the Track Legend enchantment can be applied to weapons for a golden trail that leads to the bosses.
With the basics out of the way, let’s take a look at all the Apex Creatures in the game, their locations, and how to beat them.
Humbaba
You can find Humbaba in Nightingale in the Swamp realms. It is a massive ground Dragon inspired by the Mesopotamian epic of Gilgamesh. When fighting the boss, carefully avoid her talon and sweep attacks that can take you out easily in close range. She also jumps and smashes the ground and spawns harpies to take you down quickly.
When fighting alone, it’s best to use long-range weapons and deal damage to her over time. This is certainly easier to pull off if you’re playing in a party through co-op. After losing half of her health, the boss will retreat as you might have seen already in Monster Hunter games.
After her retreat, wait for the boss to come back or track her down to end the battle. Lastly, just cut her skin in the desired pattern to craft items that you can use to improve your damage or turn them into essence and trade.
Sun Giant
The Sun Giant in Nightingale can be found in the Desert realms. It is mostly peaceful and gives you high-level loot when you offer him items. Through hit and trial, you can make a list of the best offerings or just start a battle to get it all.
The Sun Giant is truly massive and deals tons of damage in close range through ground attacks. You can track the range of certain attacks through the projections on the ground and only choose to engage in melee combat if you’re confident about your build’s damage potential.
Otherwise, play it safe by taking a long-range fight with Sun Giant.
Elder Eoten
You can find Elder Eoten Apex Creature in Nightingale in Forest Realms. The boss drops high-level building material if you exchange Elder Eoten Wood but offering the wrong item triggers the boss fight.
As the Elder Eoten rises from the ground, you’ll be able to see shiny blue patches on its body. Use an Axe with a pyro enchantment to exploit these weaknesses and clear the blue particles released by the boss to stun it temporarily.
While you might be overwhelmed by these tasks in a solo run, the fight is quite manageable in co-op as long as you’re avoiding the most powerful attacks.
