Even the titles by Massive Entertainment, like The Division, had co-op support. The original Avatar: The Game, also made by Ubisoft, had a fully-fledged multiplayer mode with a neat Avatar spin to it as you had to choose between humans or Na’vi.

Can you play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora in co-op? 

Yes, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora does support 2-player co-op gameplay. All the progression you make during a co-op session will also carry over.

The world will reflect the progression of the host, which includes completed activities, unlocked areas, etc.

Is there multiplayer in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora does not have a fully-fledged multiplayer focus like the previous Avatar game or The Divison franchise.

It is also unlikely that Ubisoft will add any such multiplayer mode in the future for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora as they’ve already laid out post-launch plans and it had no mention of multiplayer. So co-op remains the only mode where you can explore Pandora with other players.
