Best Enzo build in The First Descendant

Enzo in The First Descendant

As you approach the final part of The First Descendant campaign and you face difficult boss battles, using characters like Enzo will help you make it through even the most dire situations.

If you’re wondering how to build Enzo as an ammo support unit, here’s what you need to know about him.

Best build for Enzo in The First Descendant

  • Modules: Reinforce Front Line, Skill Expansion, Skill Cost Optimize
  • Reactor: Materialized Singularity
  • External Components: Max Shield, HP Recovery
  • Weapon: Guardian R4

Enzo is a great support unit if you’re looking to experiment with different weapons. His abilities make him a sturdy Descendant who can deal heavy damage and escape on his own when being swarmed by enemies.

Enzo is a support character that you can use not only to supply ammunition but also as a heavy damage dealer while doing so. Since you’ll need to keep him mostly stationary for other players to benefit from his skills, I found that adding Modules like Reinforce Front Line and Skill Expansion let my teammates benefit from his AoE buffs with fewer restrictions.

Equipping him with Skill Extension, Skill Cost Optimize, and Nimble Fingers is also key for the best Enzo build. These will reduce his cooldowns overall and let you spam his skills faster.

Don’t forget to equip this Descendant with the Increase Shield, Technician, and HP Concentration Modules. These will give him a boost to his survivability, which he’ll need as he focuses on using heavy weaponry.

Best Reactors

The best Reactor for Enzo in The First Descendant is Materialized Singularity, since it will buff Start Supply and Perfect Support, two of this Descendant’s key abilities. You can also use the Materialized Phase Reactor, which will let you increase the number of Explosive Drones and Enhanced Combat Suits.

For the best Enzo build, I focused on buffing his Non-Attribute skills, but I always prioritize his Singular skills since it lets me focus on having him as a more optimized ammo support unit. Then I focus on buffing his Dimension abilities (Enhance Combat Suit and Explosive Drone), which I always end up using if I’m swarmed by enemies during long fights.

Best External Components

When picking External Components for Enzo in The First Descendant, I prioritize buffing Max Shield and HP Recovery. Having these stats buffed lets me define a smaller area for this Descendant to walk around without having to worry too much if he’ll be able to survive if an enemy focuses on him.

Best weapons for Enzo in The First Descendant

Enzo is mainly a support unit, but we recommend you to use the Guardian R4 or Nazeistra’s Devotion to make the best out of his abilities in The First Descendant.

Guardian R4

  • Firearm ATK: 375
  • Fire Rate: 49
  • Crit Rate: 50%
  • Reload Speed: 1.47 seconds
  • Max Range: 150
Guardian R4 Launcher in TFD
The Guardian R4 uses High Power rounds as ammo.

While the Guardian R4 Launcher isn’t a weapon I get to use much with other Descendants, Enzo’s passive abilities let me use the Guardian R4 without worrying about where to find more ammo for it.

If you want to maximize the explosive power of this gun, you can also add the following mods:

  • Fire Enhancement
  • Rifling Reinforcement
  • Strengthen First Shot
  • Slow Art
  • Recycling Genius
  • Reload Expert

Nazeistra’s Devotion

  • Firearm ATK: 400
  • Fire Rate: 150
  • Reload Speed: 1.5 seconds
  • Effective Range: 25 meters
  • Fanaticism: On hitting an enemy’s Weak Point, inflicts the unique ability Devotion Mark on the target enemy. On hitting an ally, that ally’s shield is restored at the cost of your MP. If your current MP is less than the MP cost, this effect is not triggered.
Nazeistra's Devotion Hand Canon in The First Descendant
This Hand Canon gives Enzo an interesting extra bit of support.

While this may sound like an unusual pick for Enzo, this Hand Cannon is great for a build focused on amplifying his support skills. Thanks to its Fanaticism passive, hitting an ally will restore their shield at the cost of your MP. This gives him even more range to protect his allies, as well as inflicting the Devotion Mark status on their enemies.

Best Active skill for Enzo

The best Active skill for Enzo is Start Supply, which will be the core ability for this First Descendant build. This character is meant to give his team the flexibility of experimenting with weapons and resisting long battles without having to worry about ammo.

He’s also a reliable heavy and special damage dealer thanks to his passive, which combined with his Enhance Combat Suit and Explosive Drone skills, completely makes up for his low mobility.

Abilities explained

  • Fire Support (Passive): Grants Fire Support to allies within an area around him, increasing their max ammo capacity. The efficiency of this effect increases marginally with the number of Enzos in the squad. Efficiency increases when he disarms the security of the Encrypted Vault, and rewards increase when this happens.
  • Start Supply: Summons a Bullet Supplying Device at the designated location. Supplies bullets to allies that approach the Device. The Bullet Supplying Device can be used once by each ally and disappears when everyone has used it or its duration ends.
  • Explosive Drone: Launches an Explosive Drone forward. The Explosive Drone explodes on contact with an enemy or a terrain object, dealing damage.
  • Enhance Combat Suit: Summons a Shield Recovery Comms. When the Shield Recovery Comms is first summoned, recovers his Energy Shield by a certain amount, then continues to recover the Energy Shield through Enhance Combat Suit effect.
  • Perfect Support: Summons a Small Supply Ship to himself and his allies. The Small Supply Ship periodically provides Supply Bullets and grants Perfect Support to allies. The Small Supply Ship attacks enemies in front while it is active, and when the skill ends, it fires a missile forward that causes a big explosion at its destination.
