CoD: Zombies player recreates fan-favorite maps in Fortnite Creative mode
Call of Duty: Zombies has been a hugely popular mode for the franchise, and one fan has shown his appreciation by recreating some fan-favorite Zombies maps in the Fortnite Creative mode.
The Zombies mode has been a major part of the Call of Duty series since 2008’s World At War, and the developers have made several changes to it in each title, including the addition of popular Zombies maps.
Vanguard will come with its Der Anfang Zombies map, and one passionate fan has decided to honor the legacy of this game mode by recreating fan-favorite maps in Fortnite.
The Creative mode in Fortnite allows players to be imaginative when designing their own maps. Reddit user mist_jawaYT decided to use this mode to recreate some popular Call of Duty: Zombies maps.
These creations include Nacht Der Untoten, Shi No Numa, and Der Riese. The Redditor showed his progress in a behind-the-scenes video, and these remakes greatly resemble the original maps.
Veteran CoD: Zombies fans will remember these areas from the original era of the game mode, and these remakes will have the functionality of the actual maps. mist_jawaYT has titled his project “Zombie Chronicles.”
The map recreations include wall-buy weapons, Perks, and even a mystery box. The Redditor explained that while they’re not a “huge fan of Fortnite,” they enjoy the battle royale’s Creative mode.
“Around Summer 2022, they will be bringing out Creative 2.0 which is basically going to give us all the Unreal Engine tools and we can make our own gun models and zombies and even 1st person maps,” wrote mist_jawaYT.
Many of the commenters responded positively to the work done by Redditor. “Extremely impressive, I’ve worked a fair bit with the creative tools and you have seemed to have mastered it,” commented one user.
