EA College Football 25 has gotten off to a flier as far as player count is concerned. The latest title in the beloved NCAA Football franchise took 11 years to get here but the game is finally out in early access.

Despite only being available to owners of the Deluxe and MVP editions, CFB25 has posted some impressive concurrent player figures. These numbers will only rise once the devs start rolling Ultimate Team Programs, but until then, here is College Football 25’s player count.

College Football 25 player count this month

College Football 25 gathered a concurrent player count of over 700,000 users on the first day of early access according to the in-game matchmaking screen. While EA are yet to release any official numbers, this stat does prove that the title enjoyed a successful release.

It’s worth mentioning that the servers suffered from congestion, during the first few hours of early access, mainly due to player traffic. Given all this, it’s safe to say that CFB25 could easily touch 1 million concurrent players following the worldwide release.

Figures like these aren’t exactly the norm for sports games since their yearly release schedule does tone down the excitement among fans. The title’s player base could expand even further if the devs decide to release a PC port down the line.

It’ll be interesting to see how many players the game manages to retain as the months go by. The popularity of sports titles normally hinges on the quality of online content, plus it’ll also face competition from the likes of NBA 2K25 and Madden NFL 25.

We’ll update this article with College Football 25’s player count on launch so be sure to check back. If you need a refresher on the game’s core features, here’s an explainer of all the game modes.
