How to play Concord Beta – Release date & platforms
PlayStationConcord is an upcoming 5v5 hero shooter from PlayStation Studios that has caught players’ eyes thanks to its distinct art style, and it’s locked in for a pre-release beta test.
The Overwatch-style FPS looks to bring exciting gameplay with a variety of characters to choose from, which players will be able to experience in the beta.
If you want to play it early, here’s everything to know about Concord’s Beta.
Concord beta start date & pre-load times
Early Access Weekend
The beta kicks off with an early access weekend starting on July 12 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST and ending on July 14. Pre-ordering the game grants access to the Closed Beta and it’s also open to all PlayStation Plus members.
If you pre-ordered Concord, you’ll receive four codes to share and could pre-load the beta as of July 11.
Open Beta
The Open Beta, which is free to play for all PlayStation Plus users, goes live on July 18 at 10 AM PT and ends on July 21.
You can pre-load the Open Beta on July 17, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST. Simply visit the PlayStation Store and locate the Concord beta to download.
How to play Concord beta
To try out the Open Beta, PS5 players will need to head over to the PlayStation store and download the game. If you’re on PC, you can play the beta through Steam.
As mentioned earlier, the Early Access Weekend will only be available to PlayStation Plus members and those who’ve pre-ordered any edition of the game. Make sure you pre-load the beta if you’ve pre-ordered.
What platforms is the Concord beta on?
The beta test takes place on PS5 and PC. Keep in mind that PC players will need a PlayStation Network Account to access the game.

The PC beta will support 4K, ultrawide 21:9, uncapped framerate, KBM and DualSense controller support, custom key mapping, FSR 3, and DLSS 3.7.

The beta features all 16 characters available in the full release. Characters revealed so far include:

Maps & game modes

Bone Mines will become available once the Open Beta begins on July 18.
- Modes
- Trophy Hunt
- A Kill Confirmed-style mode where players have to take down members of the rival team and collect their bounty cards. The first team to reach the target score before time runs out wins.
- Cargo Run
- In this mode, the goal is to retrieve the Blue Buddy robotic package delivery system, plant it at one of the zones, and successfully defend it from the rival team.
- Clash Point
- This is a round-based, no-respawn mode where teams compete to control a single capture zone at a central location on the map.
- Area Control
- As the name suggests, the objective of this mode is to capture and control zones around the map. Capture two or more zones to increase your team’s score. Infinite respawns are enabled in Area Control.
- Trophy Hunt
Along with Bones Mines, the Area Control mode will also arrive once the Open Beta kicks off.
