Delta Force: Hawk Ops game modes explained
Team JadeDelta Force: Hawk Ops is a free-to-play tactical shooter featuring a few different game modes to enjoy, whether you like multiplayer or prefer a single-player experience.
Talking inspiration from FPS titles like Battlefield and Gray Zone Warfare, Hawk Ops will feature huge maps, vehicles, different operators, and many weapons. But what about the game modes?
Here’s everything you need to know about the multiplayer and single-player modes.
All game modes in Delta Force Hawk Ops
- Hazard Operations
- Havoc Warfare
- Black Hawk Down
Hazard Operations and Havoc Warfare are multiplayer modes that will be available in the Alpha Test, which was delayed from its first date of July 18, 2024. The third mode is a single-player experience that will not be available in the closed alpha coming exclusively to PC.
Hazard Operations
Hazard Operations in Delta Force Hawk Ops is an extraction-based mode, where you need to form a squad of three players and secure the MandelBrick, an item that contains some high-level loot. Whenever you carry the MandelBrick with you, you’ll be revealed to all the enemies on the map.
You have to extract with this MandelBrick but if you’re eliminated, you’ll lose everything you’re carrying except what you’ve got in your safe box. This feature is very similar to what you would see in other extraction shooters like Gray Zone Warfare, Escape from Tarkov, and Call of Duty‘s DMZ.
So far, there are only two maps for this mode, but the developers have planned to release a third one later down the line.
Havoc Warfare
Havoc Warfare looks similar to Battlefield 2042 and the Ground War mode in Call of Duty. Two teams of 32 players will be grouped into squads of four, and both teams will battle it out to control specific points on the map.
Apart from the weapons available, you will also be able to use several vehicles including helicopters and boats. Just like Hazard Operations, this mode also features two maps.
Black Hawk Down
There is also the Black Hawk Down mode, but that’s a single-player experience and will be available on PC and consoles only. This isn’t available in the playtest but will be available in the full release.
While there’s not much information available about what the storyline entails at this point, the developers have mentioned that it will explore the alleys of Mogadishu including night battles and gunfights through tight alleyways.
From the available information, this mode is set to be a remaster of the game with the same name that was released in 2003.
