Diablo 4 players share their most hated “junk” affix
Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 Season 2 is almost over, and players started debating which is the worst Affix they found after hours of grinding. Here’s what the Diablo 4 community said about it.
Diablo 4 players already had time to explore most of Sanctuary’s Dungeons and discovered many curious affixes after completing them. While it’s true that not all buffs are useful for every build, fans pointed out that some simply feel “useless.”
Affixes are special defensive, offensive, or utility skills that can be imprinted on Gear to buff certain stats. Most of these are granted as rewards after wiping out a Dungeon, but some Legendary Affixes can only be extracted from Magic, Rare, Legendary, or Unique items or weapons.
Diablo 4 fans know about grinding for Affixes a little too well, and they have a list of attributes that they consider almost illogical to use. For the OP in the Reddit post called “Your most hated ‘junk’ attribute/affix?” it’s a Rogue Affix that reduces the Trap Skill for only 0.1 seconds.
“I’m thinking, when am I ever in a position where I’m like, “Ugh, if only my trap had armed 0.1 seconds faster”?,” asked Redditor ‘superfluous369.’
Players quickly gathered on the thread and commented that any Affix that requires standing still is the worst, which might only work for certain types of Necromancers but does almost nothing for any other character.
However, the Affixes that got the most hate were those that increased the chance of executing injured non-elite. “How slow do you have to kill non-elites to benefit from that while having some kind of boss-killing laser on your skill bar?,” asked Redditor ‘Any_Needleworker8036.’
Diablo 4 players pointed out that there are a couple of affixes focused on injured non-elites, and said to find “ridiculous” the need to buff stats Critical Strikes for those types of enemies. “Exactly, oooh, extra crit against enemies I’m about to kill anyway!” answered ironically the OP.
While most players also agreed that Shrine effects and increased movement speed after killing an elite weren’t very useful while battling hordes of demons, others highlighted that challenges like the Abattoir of Zir are pretty great places to put these Affixes to the test.
“With the game as it is this is really only interesting in AoZ but if they add more, and most importantly, more challenging endgame content, extra damage against enemies under 35% health isn’t as useless as it sounds now,” commented user ‘NMe84.’
And that’s everything about what affixes are the most hated by Diablo 4 players. If you want to know more about the game, check when Diablo 4 Season 3 will start and why players think that Diablo 4’s Lilith wasn’t all that bad.
