Assassin’s Creed Mirage has tons of features that have veterans excited to dive into, but many players are wondering whether the game has microtransactions like many of its recent iterations. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Assassin’s Creed is going back to its roots, with Assassin’s Creed Mirage described as an homage to earlier games by Ubisoft, with many players feeling that the developers have finally managed to pull off what players disliked about Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, including the amount of time it takes to beat. The 9th-Century Baghdad shown in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a good bit smaller and denser than the last three games in the series.

While the Assassin’s Creed games have featured microtransactions and Helix Credits since Assassin’s Creed Unity, many players feel the last few games have stepped it up with even more microtransactions in the form of XP boosters, mythical skins, and powerful weapons that are locked behind a paywall.

Many Assassin’s Creed fans are not on board with the idea of microtransactions and Mirage going back to basics, with players hopeful that the game would not have in-game purchases. So, here’s everything you need to know about microtransactions in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Are there microtransactions in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

Assassin’s Creed Mirage does have microtransactions, similar to past games like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.

However, Ubisoft have confirmed that this is limited to cosmetics and that there is no “extensive post-launch content” planned for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Items like XP boosts and super-strong weapons being locked behind a paywall are no longer a part of the game, so players receive everything that affects gameplay as a part of what they’ve paid for the full game.

Cosmetics are just add-ons for players to doll up their character with, so they won’t affect their gameplay or give them any advantage or disadvantage during their adventures.
