The Delta Force: Hawk Ops Alpha Test gives players a taste of the FPS title early, but it’s exclusive to PC. Those participating who prefer controller will be wondering whether they can hook up their favorite input.

Your aim will need to be on point, as while the Operators offer a variety of abilities and equipment to help you get kills, the weapons do all the work. So, you’ll want your preferred input to maximize performance in all the game modes.

Here’s everything you need to know about Delta Force: Hawk Ops‘ controller support in the Alpha Test.

Can you use a controller on Delta Force: Hawk Ops?

No, there is no controller support for the Alpha Test of Delta Force: Hawk Ops. That said, on the FAQ page for the PC Alpha Test, they confirm that controller support is “planned for the future.”

This, unfortunately, means you’re stuck with mouse and keyboard, but luckily you can tinker around with the keybinds to find a layout that best suits you.

Mouse and keyboard is currently the only input that you can use in the Alpha Test.

The Alpha Test is exclusive to PC, but the devs are planning to bring the game to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. It’s unclear whether there will be another test or beta for the game that involves console players, but once it lands on these platforms we expect the game to support its inputs.

When this happens, you will also likely be able to connect your favorite controller to your PC and play. We’ll update this piece as and when there are updates, so stay tuned.

Those lucky enough to be accepted into the Delta Force: Hawk Ops Alpha Test will want to know whether their progress will transfer over to the full game. If you didn’t get a code for the test, there’s still a chance for you to get one via Twitch Drops.
