Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu are back in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and now that fans are roaming the city of Honolulu, players wonder if the second turn-based RPG from Ryu Ga Gotoku has a New Game Plus option or not.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is Ryu Ga Gotoku and SEGA’s latest game that chronicles the adventures and hardships of Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu in the franchise’s first-ever foreign location of Hawaii.

With a new story unfolding and two playable protagonists from the Yakuza series, many are wondering if they can play the game more than once from launch. Although previous Yakuza titles had New Game Plus, you must be wondering if Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has the same feature.

Here’s whether Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has New Game Plus.

Is there New Game Plus in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?

Yes, there is a New Game Plus feature in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Keep in mind that you will not get access to it if you simply buy the Standard Edition of the game, as it is locked behind DLC.

In previous Yakuza and Like a Dragon titles, New Game Plus was a feature that was inside the game since launch and for free. Whenever you finish the main storyline, you can start over completely and keep your inventory at the same time.

However, SEGA have decided that only players who get the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth or buy the Master Vacation Bundle DLC will get the New Game Plus mode.

The Master Vacation bundle is described as the following on Steam’s DLC page: “Use your Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth clear data to play New Game+ in one of three difficulty levels (Normal, Hard, and Legend). Experience the all-new story of the Big Swell and enjoy special outfits and items available only in this bundle.”

The Standard Edition costs $69.99/£69.99, while the Deluxe Edition is $15 more than that. So, players who want to enjoy the New Game Plus mode in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will have to pay for a DLC to replay the experience.

Users who decided to pre-order the physical version of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth can only snag the Standard edition, so the only way to obtain the game’s New Game Plus mode is to buy the Master Vacation Bundle, available for $19.99/£19.99 on digital stores.
