Dragon’s Dogma 2 is set to bring back time quests, one of the most innovative features from Dark Arisen. Here’s everything you need to know about timed quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

One of the most promising RPGs of 2024, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is just around the corner, set to be released on March 22, 2024. With a bunch of new vocations and a massive open world to explore, players can get into the title and build their character in the highly acclaimed character creator.

However, for those who love to save up on quests and complete them at your leisure, it seems like Capcom have other plans for you as the devs are set to bring back timed quests from Dark Arisen in the upcoming title as well.

Here’s everything you need to know about timed quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

What are timed quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

As the name suggests, timed quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are time-gated missions that you will have to complete within a given time as they progress even without Arisen’s involvement. This is why players who love to take on multiple quests at a time might have to adjust and complete these beforehand.

Players who have received an early access copy have already confirmed the presence of this feature in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and Capcom does make sure to caution the players beforehand with an in-game warning as well.

Timed quests were a feature in Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen as well, so veteran players should not be that surprised. However, with a massive influx of new players in Dragon’s Dogma 2, some might be taken aback by the sudden time-gated nature of these quests.

However, these quests will most likely be not compulsory for the most part like in Dark Arisen, and will rather be tied to some NPC who approaches you with the mission. With a massive open world ready to be explored, players can expect to encounter such NPCs quite frequently as well.

Keep in mind that you probably have to leave any ongoing quest behind, and complete these first, or it might lead to some negative consequence in your playthrough.
