EA Sports have unveiled all the new gameplay features that will be present in F1 24. Take a look at all the changes, new additions, and returning features to EA Sports F1 24.

Formula 1 fans have already marked May 31 as the release date for the new F1 24. As we approach that date, EA Sports continue to reveal details about this new title, such as the pre-order bonuses, all confirmed drivers and teams, game modes, and more.

This time, it was the turn to learn about the new gameplay features. Take a look at what new and returning features EA Sports introduced in F1 24.

All new F1 24 gameplay features

Here are all the new gameplay features announced in the last F1 24 Gameplay Deep Dive.

What is Dynamic Handling in F1 24?

Dynamic Handling is the new suspension kinematic system that EA Sports introduced in F1 24 by working with Max Verstappen. This new system is mainly based on the car’s weight distribution and center of gravity. From now on, players will have to take into account the weight of the vehicle (with a full tank or nearly empty) when braking for each corner, overtaking other drives, and more.

All of this also brings many more car setups so that players can modify their car’s setup before each Grand Prix to decide if they want more stability in the high-speed sections or better traction in the low-speed corners.

F1 24: All new tyre features

F1 24’s tyre update will change almost completely how they behave on each track. The new temperature model adds new factors to regulate the wheels’ temperature such as tyre pressures, ambient conditions, track conditions, and each player’s driving style.

Temperature and knowing how to manage the tires are everything in F1 24, so if you notice that your wets or intermediates start to overheat, you will be able to cool them down by using the remaining wet patches on the track.

Improved aerodynamics & DRS in F1 24

EA Sports used Computational Fluid Dynamics in F1 24 to bring greater aerodynamic realism to the franchise’s new title. Thanks to this implementation, players will feel even more the downforce force, the slipstream effects when they are behind another driver, and of course the turbulence of the “dirty air.”

They also improved the DRS so the advantage gained when it opens is more realistic. Finally, the team announced customized improvements to each car on the grid to bring even more realism to each race.

EA Sports bring back fan-favorite ERS feature in F1 24

EA Sports listened to the F1 24 community feedback and reintroduced the option to swap between ERS modes on the fly. This way, players can use the “hotlap” mode again to improve race strategies.

The Overtake mode will still drain the ERS battery faster than in previous titles, but now players have more tools to recharge it, such as not pressing the accelerator fully when exiting a corner.

All in all, those were all the new gameplay features introduced in F1 24. The game will be released on May 31, so it’s expected EA Sports will announce more details soon.
