Alongside trailers for Gears of War, Metal Gear Solid, and Diablo 4’s Vessel of Hatred, Fable fans finally got a release window for the latest entry to the series at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024.
In addition to a stunning new trailer, we also got a sneak peek at what gameplay will look like. Here’s everything we know so far about the new Fable game, what platforms you can play it on, and more.
Fable release window
Fable is set to release sometime in 2025, with no official date or month announced yet.
The trailer, which you can watch below, also revealed information about the story we can expect and some gameplay. To players’ delight, it seems the continuation of the franchise will be as epic and witty as ever.
Fable platforms
Fable will be available to play on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
It’s unclear right now if there will be a Playstation release, but the reveal trailer confirmed that it will be playable on Xbox Series X and S. Otherwise, it will be available on Steam for PC players.
Will Fable be on Game Pass?
Yes, Fable will be on Xbox Game Pass.
Alongside being available on the Xbox Series X and S, Fable will be available to play on Xbox Game Pass from day one for PC players who have it.
Fable story and gameplay
Based on the reveal trailer, Fable is going to be a third-person RPG with a massive open world.
Playground GamesRetired hero Humphry took us on a small adventure in the reveal trailer where we saw the protagonist of Fable fighting enemies and exploring towns.
Not much has been revealed about the gameplay or story yet, but it looks like we’ll be getting a large-scale world where your choices can impact where the tale goes.
Fable will still take place in Albion, but it’s looking like this installment of the series is meant to be a complete reboot. It’s unclear if any of the events of the previous three games will have an effect on this one.
Nothing has been mentioned about a character creator, but once these announcements are made, we will keep you updated with what’s coming.
