Using the Fallout Shelter save editor is as simple as uploading your save file to the browser tool.

If you copied your save file and dropped it into the tool, you must re-copy the file to the save game location. If you have directly uploaded from the platform’s path, you can save the file with the browser tool and directly modify the save, keeping things simpler.

To do this, you must find your save game, and this varies between platforms, so let’s take a look at every save game location in Fallout Shelter.

Fallout Shelter: All save game locations for each platform

Depending on which platform you are playing Fallout Shelter, you will find the save game file on different paths. If you are using the Android version, you will need to connect your phone to a computer to be able to use it with the tool.

Here’s every save game location for each version of Fallout Shelter:

  • PC/Launcher version: The save file is located in Documents\My Games\Fallout Shelter.
  • Windows 10 Store version: The save file is located in %LOCALAPPDATA% \FalloutShelter.
  • Steam version: The save file is located in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\FalloutShelter.
  • Android version: The save file is located in storage/sdcard/Android/data/com.bethsoft.falloutshelter/files.

The Fallout Shelter save file is called “Vault#.sav,” where the # is replaced with the Vault number you have chosen. Do not change the save file name, as it will cause problems for the game to load.

Fallout Shelter save editor: All modifiers & stats

Once you upload your save file to the editor, the browser tool will show four tabs where you can access Vault, Dwellers, Other, and some Extra modifiers.

In the Vault section, players can change the name of the Shelter, as well as the number of caps, Nuka Cola Quantum, Lunch Boxes, Mr. Handies, Pet Carriers, or Starter Packs. Also, the Vault Mode, Theme, and all resources can be modified.

You can also jump ahead in many of the game’s progression systems by being able to remove rocks, unlock all rooms and recipes, max out all the Dwellers S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats, and more.

For Dwellers, you can select which one you want to modify and change names, genders, base stats, and also equipped Outfits & weapons.
