Football Manager 2024 players claim AI manager improvements made things “even worse”

The new Football Manager 2024 introduced a lot of new features and changes, but one of them is generating controversy among players during the current FM24 early access period.

Football Manager 2024 will arrive on November 6, 2023, worldwide. However, players who have pre-ordered the game for PC through Steam or Epic Games can already enjoy early access and explore all the new features introduced by Sports Interactive in FM24.

The main complaint from users was that AI managers didn’t make many changes during matches. At most, they made one or two in the last ten minutes of the match, and the post concluded with: “Doesn’t matter if players are performing poorly or completely fatigued, there’s never an early sub or tactical one.”

Many users have agreed with this post and added that AI managers also don’t rotate players and buy players they never use; they “still cripple all young talent to play with 36-year-old players.“

Finally, one user made an assessment of the new features and based on their experience with previous releases, they feel that “the [newly] announced features usually work on the next game,” implying that we will have to wait for FM25 to see a difference in AI managers.

That’s all about the players’ complaints regarding the AI improvements in Football Manager 2024 early access.
