Genshin Impact 4.3 leak hints snipers may be coming to game
HoYoverseWhile Genshin Impact is unlikely to add another weapon type anytime soon, leaks suggest that we may be able to fire snipers in the upcoming events, with players speculating it is to test future characters’ kits.
Genshin Impact version 4.3 is only a few weeks away, with the update potentially scheduled for December 20, and even though official information won’t arrive until the Special Program livestream, it won’t stop the leaks from revealing all the surprises.
In version 4.3 of Genshin Impact, leaks suggest that there will be a main event that will feature characters like Ayato, Furina, Neuvillette, and Wriothesley. Typically, main events have several mini-events, either combat-based or activity-based, and for 4.3, one of the mini-games will let you use a sniper.
The leak comes from one of the reliable leakers hhw, and it was later shared on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit. The leaks also include images showing players all scoped to fire shots at the usual targets, Hilichurls, and in different locations.
Genshin Impact‘s current characters aren’t heavy on artillery. Even the weapons are more traditional, like polearms and bows. The upcoming character, Chevreuse, is speculated to make use of her musket during her animations.
Navia, meanwhile, rains down a salute in her bursts, and players think this is all lining up for Clorinde to use a full-fledged animated sniper or something more heavy on firearms.
Clorinde has appeared in the game with a firearm, but it is nothing close to a sniper and doesn’t even have a scope. The sniper could be just for an event, and since 4.3 is confirmed to feature Navia and Chevreuse, both of which are heavy on firearms, the sniper could be just themed after them.
Even if this isn’t anything related to Clorinde, it could, however, still be part of some other characters’ kit in the future. It will likely be part of their animation, like Chevreuse and Navia, and the weapons the said character uses will be one from the already existing types.
