Genshin Impact leaks hint at new way to get five-star weapons without gacha
HoYoverseGenshin Impact currently features no other way to get 5-star items outside of its limited-banner pool, but that could be changing in future updates, according to a recent leak.
Ever since its 2020 release, Genshin Impact has only continued to grow with new content and character releases. The upcoming version 4.4 is said to add two highly anticipated characters, Xianyun and Gaming, and the game already features over 70 characters.
If you want to, however, get these characters and gear them up with the best possible build, you’ll have to go through the gacha system. And like most things in Genshin Impact, it is limited-time, and unless you wait for their re-runs, there is no possible way to get them. Re-runs can take a while as only two 5-stars are featured in a banner at a single time.
It has been one of the major frustrations, as many players want some other ways to obtain their favorite characters, in case they missed them when they were rated up. A leak now suggests HoYoverse may be adding some major changes to the gacha in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact leaks suggest a new banner and purchasable 5-star weapons
The leak comes from GenshinMeow and was shared later on the Genshin_Impact_leaks subreddit.
It shared several of Genshin Impact’s plans and said that there might be another banner coming. The leak reads, “Currently, they are advancing the design of the new banner. Unlike ordinary character banners, this version is associated with the release date, characters’ birthdays, and anniversary events. Additionally, a new mechanism for pulling secondary products (like Star Glitter) will be introduced.”
So, as per the leak, we might get another character banner in Genshin Impact, and it’ll follow a more predictable schedule like their birthdays. The leak also says that 5-star weapons will be available for purchase directly through gift packs, similar to the Resounding Melodies bundle. Although, much about the “gift packs,” their cost, and what weapons will be featured remains a mystery.
The third banner arriving in Genshin Impact was long rumored, given that the game started with one banner, and as the cast continued to grow, HoYoverse added another banner. But as the roster has more than doubled since the addition of the second banner, it is perhaps the right time for developers to think about the third banner.
Keep in mind that these are leaks and it may all be false. Nothing is guaranteed until HoYoverse confirms it officially.
