Genshin Impact players rejoice as 4.4 leak reveals thousands of free Primogems
HoYoverseGenshin Impact version 4.3 was one of the lighter patches with less new content added and no major expansion. It also wasn’t generous with Primogems, however, the upcoming 4.4 patch is said to be bigger, and it is reflected in the leaked estimated Primogems count.
Version 4.4 of Genshin Impact is one of the bigger patches, as it is time for Lantern Rite. Leaks suggest it’ll also be generous in terms of rewards, and it’ll let you choose one free 4-star skin, including the leaked skins for Ganyu and Shenhe.
In terms of Primogems, it’ll hand out more than the current version 4.3, and the number is similar to other massive patches. You’ll need them anyway, as the upcoming banner is allegedly stacked, with Xianyun and Gaming already confirmed.
The estimated Primogems count comes from X user FurinaaLover, and was later posted on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit, which considers the leaker reliable.
Per the leak, here is what the Primogems distribution for the upcoming version 4.4 of Genshin Impact looks like:
- Exploration: 2595
- Limited-time events: 2260
- Daily Commissions: 2520
- Star Dust Exchange: 1600
- 5-star character trial: 80
- Spiral Abyss: 1800
- Achievements: 315
- Lantern Rite: 2080
- Welkin Moon: 3780 + 420
- HoYo Lab Login Bonus: 100
- Version 4.5 Livestream: 300
- Update maintenance: 600
- Codes: 60
- Web Event: 80
- Twitch Drop: 30
- Battle Pass: 1320
So, in total, you’ll get 14420 (equivalent to 90 wishes) if you’re a free-to-play player in Genshin Impact version 4.4. In case you’ve brought Welkin Moon for the month, you’ll get a total of 18630 (equivalent to 116 wishes), and those with both Welkin and Battle Pass will get 19940 (equivalent to 124 wishes).
The count is for the full version. Here is a phase-wise breakdown of how many wishes you’ll get based on the leak.
- F2P players:
- Phase 1: 62 wishes
- Phase 2: 28 wishes
- Welkin players:
- Phase 1: 75 wishes
- Phase 2: 41 wishes
- Welkin plus Battle Pass players:
- Phase 1: 79 wishes
- Phase 2: 45 wishes
Given how the recent version 4.3 patch has been dry, with players getting only around 50 wishes, many are happy with the leaked count. On the above Reddit thread, a user wrote, “After the primo drought of 4.3 it’s nice to see 90 roll a patch again.” Others said that this version is evening out the missing Primogems from the last version, “Oh, would you look at that, found the gems we are missing in 4.3. They just happened to be in 4.4.”
Keep in mind that this is an estimate based on leaks, and the final amount may change. The amount of Primogems players will allegedly get isn’t, however, surprising given the patch is a big one, it’ll also feature expansion to the Liyue region with Chenyu Vale.
