Genshin Impact reveals first details on Furina and Charlotte
HoYoverseAs we’re en route to version 4.1 of Genshin Impact, the developers have shared details on Fotaine’s two upcoming characters—Furina and Charlotte. Here’s all we know about Furina and Charlotte.
HoYoverse has drip-marketed another two sets of characters that’ll be joining the long roster of Genshin Impact. One is a journalist unwaveringly committed to finding scoops, the other, Furina, is the Archon of Fontaine.
We were already introduced to both of these characters, and Furina will continue to play a major role in the upcoming updates given her stature as Archon. Both of them will be playable in v4.2 of Genshin Impact, so here is everything you need to know about them.
Genshin Impact shares details about Furina and Charlotte
Furina
- Title: Endless Solo of Solitude
- Gnosis: Hydro
- Constellation: Animula Choragi
Furina is the fifth playable Archon in the game and her Gnosis status in the reveal confirms that she is indeed the Archon, putting the fan theory of Neuvillette being the actual Archon to bed. She yearns for drama, which almost fetched an innocent citizen a sentence to the most unwelcoming of prisons in Fontaine. Monsieur Neuvillette, the highly-revered Chief Justice of the Court of Fontaine, has to often step in to ensure Furina doesn’t go too overboard with her flamboyant nature.
But that’s all we were told leading into version 4.1, and, of course, the Hydro Archon has more to her than seeking thrill, as the official introduction hints at the sorrows hiding beneath the playfulness, which reads:
But when the curtain falls, a hollow feeling invariably starts to creep in. There are those who wonder whether there are moments in the dead of night when even a god like Furina feels the sharp pangs of loneliness.”
As for Furina’s kit, she is speculated to be a sword user. Finer details are not yet known, but we’ll likely have a full picture in the upcoming weeks.
Charlotte
- Title: Lens of Verity
- Vision: Cryo
- Constellation: Hualina Veritas
Charlotte, the reporter from Steambird, is the other character arriving in Genshin Impact v4.2. Being a journalist, criminals aren’t too fond of her, but she continues to be nosy in an effort to find the truth. Charlotte is the jack of all trades in terms of her coverage beats, as described in the official description:
Some specialize in celebrity gossip, others follow the word on the street, while others still focus on political affairs… But among them all, there is one that stands head and shoulders above the rest thanks to her seemingly boundless reserve of energy and perseverance — the inimitable Charlotte.”
Not much is known about her kit, other than the fact that she is a Cryo character and is a 4 start unit.
