There isn’t long to go before the January 31 release of Genshin Impact version 4.4, and ahead of its release, HoYoverse have highlighted some of the QoL changes coming to the game with the update.

Version 4.4 of Genshin Impact is said to be a massive patch that’ll feature a brand-new expansion to the Liyue region, Chenyu Vale, according to leaks. Official details on the patch remain slim, however, other than the confirmation of the release of Xianyun and Gaming

We’ll likely be fully briefed on the version’s Special Program livestream on January 17. But before the livestream, HoYoverse have shared all the massive QoLs the game will be getting, including the previously leaked highly-requested artifact loadout system.

All announced Genshin Impact version 4.4 QoL changes

HoYoverse detailed all the QoL changes in their HoYoLab announcement post. It was, obviously, headlined by the new loadout system.

The new loadout feature, called Fast Equip Artifacts, isn’t loadout in the traditional sense, and its primary objective seems to be to equip artifacts quickly. It has two variations, and here are the details on those:

  • Quick Loadout: When in the Artifact menu, you can select the Quick Loadout option, and it’ll automatically generate a loadout for your character based on recent active players’ data.
  • Custom Loadout: It is also a loadout generator, but you can select certain affixes of your liking, set, stats, etc.

Unfortunately, nowhere does it mention that the created loadout can be saved for the future and quickly swapped, so it does not appear to be the loadout players were requesting.

Other QoL changes that were shared were:

  • Improved filtering for furnishing categories in Teapot.
  • When placing furnishings in Teapot using the same editing mode, your current position in lists will be remembered. It will not be reset after switching to another furnishing category.
  • The companion list will now show your companions’ Friendship Levels in Teapot.
  •  A red dot prompt will be added to the Adventure Handbook in Version 4.4 to remind of the unclaimed commission completion reward.
  • The number of party compositions that can be saved will be increased to 15.
  • When trying out new characters, you’ll now be able to choose to challenge the next Character Trial Stage without having to exit the current stage first.
  • The “Borderless Mode” option will be added in PC Display Mode settings.
  • A new “Dynamic Character Resolution” function will be made available on both PCs and consoles. This utilizes dynamic recognition of object models to increase the precision of models’ marked area surfaces in real-time.

That’s tons of neat QoLs coming to Genshin Impact with version 4.4, similar to past few updates.
