Arrowhead Game Studios’ FPS has only been getting bigger, so players have been running into several issues that don’t let them enjoy Helldivers 2. If you’ve got the “10002038” error code, here’s everything you can do to fix it.

Helldivers 2 players have reported several issues when trying to log in to Arrowhead Game Studios’ FPS. Most problems are related to its huge popularity, where the game’s servers can’t seem to keep up with the sudden growth of users who want to participate in this galactic war.

While Arrowhead Game Studios devs have been begging users to log out from the game if they aren’t playing, Helldivers 2 fans don’t want to give up their spot in case they get an error later.

Sadly, lots of players have started to encounter the 10002038 error code when trying to get into Helldivers 2, so here’s what you can do to work around the error in the meantime.

How to fix the 10002038 error in Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2 players have been reporting getting the 10002038 error code, which means that servers are at capacity. This means that Arrowhead Game Studios’ servers might have had a sudden surge of players attempting to get on at the same time or experiencing downtime for scheduled maintenance.

As with the “Server Request Failed” or “Error Code 1”, there isn’t much you can do to fix error 10002038, since it is a problem on the servers’ end. However, you can try discarding any issues from your side with the following methods:

  • Verify the integrity of game cache. If you’re playing on PC, you should open Steam, and go to the Helldivers 2 hub. After entering the Properties tab, go to Local Files and click on “Verify integrity of game files.”
  • Restart your Steam Client. You can easily do this by heading to the Steam tab, and then clicking on Exit.
  • Check if your internet connection is working. If you made sure that Helldivers 2 servers are up, you can check if your connection is stable enough. We recommend you also try restarting your router before trying to enter the game again.
  • Check if the servers are down: Before anything, you should make sure that Helldivers 2 servers are down. You can check Arrowhead Games’ Discord or their Support page.

If you’ve already made sure that it’s a problem on Arrowhead Game Studios’ end, you’ll have to quit the game and wait for around 30 minutes before trying to log in again.
