How to 1v1 in Brawl Stars
SupercellBrawl Stars is popular for its action-packed 3v3 modes, but if you want to test your skills against just one player and in-game friends, here’s how to 1v1 in the game.
Brawl Stars is as competitive as it gets and a 1v1 is one of the best ways to test your mettle and practice before facing the real competition in 3v3 multiplayer ranked modes. The 1v1 setting is also great for toning down gameplay’s intensity and just trying out fun mechanics with your favorite Brawlers.
On that note, here’s everything to know about playing 1v1 matches in Brawl Stars.
How to play 1v1 in Brawl Stars
Follow these steps to initiate a 1v1 match in Brawl Stars:
- Tap on the Friends icon on the right side of your screen.
- From this screen, you can either add your friend via their Player ID or tell them your ID shown in green text with a hashtag. There’s another option to invite them through a link.
- Once you’re friends in-game, tap on the three horizontal lines on the top right corner of the screen and select the Friendly Battle option.
- Turn off all the bots except one, and invite your friend for that spot.
- Click on Solo Showdown at the bottom of the screen and select the map.
- Tap on Play and the 1v1 match should begin.
Best 1v1 Brawlers in Brawl Stars
If you want to dominate your opponents during 1v1 in Brawl Stars, we recommend using the following BrawlerS:
- Mortis – Mortis has a high skill ceiling and you easily defeat low-health opponents with him. He also offers great mobility, allowing him to reach the desired locations quickly and get out of danger with ease.
- Frank – Frank can quickly charge his Ultimate, which is usually a game changer in the Solo Showdown mode. His high HP is also suitable for a mode where no one else will tank damage for you.
- Doug – Doug’s high health and damage output makes him desirable for a Solo Showdown. His Second Serving attack can pass through walls, giving him a chance to respawn with one additional ammo.
- Griff – Griff might have average health, but his high damage output certainly compensates for it. He attacks in massive areas and your opponents won’t be able to survive by maintaining distance.
- Ash – Ash is one of the best picks for a 1v1 Brawl if you want to keep the battle in close range. He is quick, boasts high HP and the Rage bar is the primary mechanic of his kit. All his attacks, like shockwaves and robotic cats, are a nightmare to deal with for single opponents. Because the Rage bar isn’t displayed to others, Ash is also a mysterious Brawler to get into a 1v1 with.
- Darryl – Darryl has inconsistent damage output, but you won’t need a lot of hits to take out anyone with. Especially at close range, his shotgun shells are more than enough to hand you the victory.
- Leon – Leon’s invisibility is truly overpowered in a 1v1 battle based on modes like Timed Detonation. The high damage output makes the gameplay aggressive and you won’t have to worry a lot about survivability as well.
