Stardew Valley update 1.6 brought a ton of new content for players to collect, and even some items that allow them to craft brand-new Artisan Equipments.
The Sea Jelly is one of those creatures that already existed in the game, but could only be seen a handful of times, like in the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies Festival. During this event, players aren’t able to either interact or fish them, but can now try to capture them in the wild.

Stardew Valley: Where to find & how to catch Sea Jelly
You can catch Sea Jelly in Stardew Valley by fishing, and you can fish it in any season at any time in any saltwater in Pelican Town or Ginger Island.
While Jellies are a rare catch in Stardew Valley, you’ll see that there other types besides the Sea Jelly. Here’s all Jellies and where to find them:
- Sea Jelly: You can find them in any season at any time in saltwater surrounding Pelican Town or Ginger Island.
- Cave Jelly: Find them in any sweetwater body in Pelican Town, in any season at any time.
- River Jelly: Fish them in the mines of Pelican Town or Skull Cavern in Calico Desert.
Stardew Valley: Sea Jelly best uses
There are multiple ways to use Sea Jellies in Stardew Valley, so here are the best:
- Use them to restore Energy, Health, and bonus buffs.
- Sea Jelly: +88 Energy, +39 Health. +1 Fishing bonus for seven hours.
- River Jelly: +75 Energy, +33 Health, +30 Max Energy for seven hours.
- Cave Jelly: +75 Energy, +33 Health, +1 Luck bonus for seven hours.
- Sell them for Gold
- Use them to craft a Fish Smoker (10x Hardwood, 1x Sea Jelly, 1x River Jelly, 1x Cave Jelly).
