Charlie IntelNot happy with your initial choice of name in Marvel Rivals or just looking for a change? Here’s a quick guide on how to update your name in no time.
Starting a new multiplayer game can feel overwhelming. There’s a lot to figure out, especially in a hero shooter like Marvel Rivals, with its diverse roster of characters and intricate systems to learn.
One of the first choices you’ll make is selecting your in-game name – a chance to create a fresh identity or stick with your go-to gamertag. But what if you regret your decision later? Luckily, Marvel Rivals makes it easy to change your name.
How to change your name in Marvel Rivals
If you want to change your name later on, you’re in luck – the option is available. All you need to do is:
- Visit the in-game Store.
- Navigate to the Items tab.
- In Season 0, the only item listed there is the Rename Card.
- Purchase it for 500 Units.
As the name suggests, this card will allow you to update your in-game name. However, it can only be purchased once every seven days.
The best thing is you can easily earn the game’s standard currency, Units – which is by completing missions or progressing through the Season 0 Battle Pass. Additionally, you can convert the game’s premium currency, Lattice, into Units if you’re short.
If you’re launching Marvel Rivals for the first time, you’ll reach an important step: selecting your in-game name. This name will appear on your Nameplate, Career screen, and in lobbies, making it the primary way other players identify you. Choose carefully, as this will be your public identity.
Keep in mind that names are claimed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once someone selects a name, it becomes unavailable to others. If you have a unique or specific name in mind, be sure to act quickly to secure it before someone else does.
