How to complete Shadowed Prayers in Dragon’s Dogma 2
There are a bunch of quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that require more than going from point A to point B. The Shadowed Prayers quest in particular requires certain actions or you’ll face big consequences. Here is how to complete Shadowed Prayers in DD2.
Upon exploring the open world in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and reaching Bakbattahl, the kingdom of the Beastren, you’re able to visit the royal palace. However, as with most royal visits in video games, it isn’t all feasts and drinking.
Instead, you’ll quickly learn from a soldier named Menella that one of the royals – Empress Nadinia – is in danger, with an assassin heading to the palace. You’ll need to speak to Menella again to get some more information and ‘start’ the quest. Now it’s up to you and your Pawns to save her. By reading on, you’ll know exactly what to do.
How to save Empress Nadinia in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To save Empress Nadinia in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you must find and nullify the assassin before they get to her.
Because this is a time-based quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2, what we first recommend is that you stay at a nearby Inn so that if you do fail, you can get a quick reload off and try again.
As we previously mentioned, Menella will give you some specific information that is integral to finding the assassin. They state that you’ll be looking for a person who has their hair tied back and a scar on their right arm. There are a bunch of people to sift through, so this helps massively.
After making it to the dimly lit hallway where all of the people are residing, we recommend getting that lantern lit, and potentially even turning the brightness up in your game’s settings, so that it makes your life a little easier.
Keep a beady eye out for the person who has the right arm scar and hair tied back. You can even use the game’s photo mode to get the right angles required.
After ensuring that you have the right person, use the Grab command and you’ll apprehend the assassin, saving Nadinia’s life.
If you didn’t manage to find the correct person in time, Nadinia will perish and will not be present throughout the rest of your playthrough hence why it is so important to get it right. But, if you were too slow, if you followed our recommendation of staying at an Inn, you can do a simple reload.
