The First Descendant has a wide range of characters that can match any playstyle, but there are also ways for you to customize your favorite Descendant to make them stand out from other players.

Check out what you can do to customize your character in The First Descendant.

How to color your Descendant

You can customize your Premium Skins using Paint, which you can get from the Shop in exchange for Caliber. While you can also craft it by getting an Atom Topcoat, an Oort Stone, and a Spectrometer, these items can only be found at the in-game shop for 25 Caliber each.

After buying it, go to the Customization Tab in the main menu and select the skin you want to recolor. You’ll be able to pick which part you can paint, allowing you to combine different styles for your Descendant.

Paints are tied to skins, and can be used only once.

After painting something, that specific Paint will be tied to the skin you used. This means that you can color any element of that skin you’ve already painted, but you’ll need to craft or buy another Paint to use on other skins.

Keep in mind that you can only customize Premium Skins and not the original Descendant Outfits.

How to equip cosmetic items

You can also customize your characters by equipping Emotes, Sprays, Weapon Skins, and The First Descendant’s version of Back Blings. These cosmetics can be won by grinding the Pre-season Battle Pass or can be purchased with Caliber (Premium Currency) at the in-game store.

Nexon Games promised to add more customization options as seasons go by, so make sure to circle back for more info. In the meantime, check out how to unlock all Ultimate characters, and everything you need to know about Intercept Battles to get Amorphous Materials.
