How to farm Coal in Stardew Valley
ConcernedApeIn Stardew Valley, Coal is one of the most basic resources which means it has a lot of uses ranging from crafting to smelting. Here’s a quick rundown on Coal along with how to farm and use it in.
Stardew Valley lets you experience what it’s like to own a farm in the countryside in its entirety. This includes fishing, growing various plants, gathering resources to progress, and more.
One such resource is Coal and given how extensively it is used in the game, you may want to collect as many as you can and stock up so you don’t run out of it later.
On that note, here’s all you need to know about farming and using Coal in Stardew Valley.
Fastest way to get Coal in Stardew Valley
One of the fastest ways to get Coal in Stardew Valley is to kill Dust Sprites between floors 41 and 79 of the Mines as they have a 50% chance of dropping it when killed.
After killing 500 Dust Sprites, you are rewarded with a Burglar’s Ring from Gil at the Adventurer’s Guild. This increases the chance of enemies dropping loot, which can help you get even more Coal.
Best Coal uses in Stardew Valley
Smelting Ores in Furnace is one of if not, the best use of Coal. You can also use it to craft a Scarecrow to protect your crops from crows, just like how a Lightning Rod protects your farm from lightning.
Apart from this, Coal can be used to craft Bee House, Cookout Kit, Seed Maker, and more. We also don’t recommend gifting Coal since most villagers dislike or hate it except for Clint who has a neutral reaction when presented with one.
