How to find your parents in Starfield
BethesdaThere are many ways to personalize your experience in Starfield and the game grants you the choice to have parents that you need to take care of. If you want to have a family in Starfield, here’s how to find your parents and interact with them.
Although Starfield doesn’t have around 17,000 endings like Baldur’s Gate 3, it is still quite an expansive game that lets you explore thousands of planets and build establishments on them.
Apart from the open world, NPCs and factions are considered the biggest highlight of Starfield as most of these characters have unique backstories, and interacting with them is a great way to dive deep into the lore.
To personalize your experience even more, you can include parents in your Starfield playthrough, and here’s how to find your parents and interact with them.
Starfield parents location
Finding your parents in Starfield begins with picking the ‘Kid Stuff’ trait while creating your character. Its description will inform you of its function.
Once that’s done, progress through the first couple of main quests in the game, The Old Neighborhood and One Small Step. After completing the quests, an Activity will pop up on your screen, asking you to meet your parents at Pioneer Tower. If you choose to ignore this notification, your father, like any concerned parent, will eventually send a note to your workplace – Constellation HQ.
The Pioneer Tower can be found to the right in the Residential District at New Atlantis. Once you’re there, simply follow the waypoint to your parent’s home.
Here’s a recap of how to find your parents in Starfield:
- Select the ‘Kid Stuff’ trait while creating your character.
- Complete The Old Neighborhood and One Small Step quests and arrive in New Atlantis.
- After receiving an activity notification to visit your parents, follow the waypoint to Pioneer Tower in the Residential District.
How to interact with your parents in Starfield
Interactions with your parents in Starfield occur in multiple ways. You can trigger conversations with them at any time, and pick between a variety of dialogue options. Naturally, the options you choose will affect your relationship with them.
Interactions with them will also happen organically. They can surprise you with gifts, treats, and even special gear to use on your journey. You may also run into them at random points in your adventure.
You can rest and store your items in their house, hear them chat and bicker, and more. However, all of this comes at a cost. Picking the trait will mean that 2% of your credits go to your parents every week. You can choose to get rid of the trait later via dialogue options, although this change would be permanent.
