How to fix Fallout Shelter Radio Station not working

If you are building your Vault in Fallout Shelter and want more Dwellers from the outside world, you’ll need to set up a Radio Station, but some players are reporting the room is not working, so here’s how to fix it.

Fallout Shelter is a management game where you play as a new Vault’s Overseer, and with that, a lot of responsibilities come into the fray. From managing resources to welcoming new Dwellers from the outside world using the Radio Station, there are tons of things to do.

If you built a Radio Station room and no Dwellers are coming to greet you at the Vault’s door, it might seem the feature is not working, but here’s a quick fix to that problem in Fallout Shelter.

Fallout Shelter: How to fix Radio Station from not working

Besides patience being key in Fallout Shelter when trying to bring in new Dwellers from the outside world, each Radio Room has a toggle that has to be switched to Wasteland when transmitting, which boosts the chances of new people approaching the Vault.

Radio Station rooms in Fallout Shelter can also toggle back to a Vault-only transmission to raise the Vault’s happiness overall. But, if what you want is new Dwellers to populate your space, you’ll need to have high Charisma characters managing the Radio Station and switch the toggle to Wasteland.

This is all based on chances, so the more upgraded the room is, and the better the Charisma on the Dweller managers, the chance of new people approaching the Vault to stay increases.

Poorly managing the Radio Station with no characters or low-Charisma Dwellers in it could potentially lead to Ghouls and Deathclaw’s attacks, so if you build a new Radio Station, treat it as one of the most important rooms in your Vault.
