Character creation in Once Human

There are a few stats players need to keep track of in Once Human, and managing them all can be challenging. However, there’s a secret one that may not be obvious until it actually affects you – weight gain and loss.

Weight has a significant impact in the game, and if you don’t manage it properly, you can run into some serious problems.

How to lose weight in Once Human

You can lose weight in Once Human by eating any food that causes Gastric Discomfort or that has the Weight Watching effect

Spoiled food, dirty water, and raw meat will all do the trick in giving you Gastric Discomfort if you decide to go with that route. Once you’ve reached your desired weight, you can take antibiotics to get rid of the effect. If you don’t have antibiotics on hand, remember you can craft it at the Supplies workbench.

Fat-Burning Juice is a nice second option that has the Weight Watching effect, but you can also just respec your fitness level when using the Floor Mirror to change your weight that way.

As a last alternative, you can also get the Extradimensional Cat Deviant companion. If you have it equipped while you’re sleeping, you’ll start to gain weight quite rapidly.

Best weight in Once Human

The best weight to be in Once Human is around 65kg-85kg because it offers the least drawbacks while still giving you some decent buffs.

It all depends on your playstyle, though, so make sure to experiment with different weights to see what works for you.

Food is an important part of managing your weight, so it’s necessary to know where you can find all the Special Recipes like Fish and Chips. If you’re happy with your weight and ready to start upgrading gear, make sure you know where to find Gold Ore and build your base to find resources more easily.
