How to get Aluminum Ore in Once Human
Starry StudiosIf you’re hoping to survive in the dangerous world of Once Human, you’re going to need resources. Aluminum Ore is one of those that isn’t too difficult to find, but you may need to wait until you’re further in the game to get your hands on it.
Aluminum Ore is used for a variety of things in Once Human, so here’s where you can find it, what you can use it for, and how you can get it.
Best locations to farm Aluminum Ore in Once Human
The best places to farm Aluminum Ore in Once Human is in Chalk Peak and along the border of the Iron River and Red Sands.
Aluminum Ore looks very similar to Tin, Silver, and Tungsten Ore, so make sure you know how to identify it. It shines brighter than Tungsten or Silver, and it appears as a stone deposit with slightly different colored outcrops.
Chalk Peak has one of the highest concentrations of Aluminum Ore, and you can head there to mine it as soon as you reach Level 32. It’s the best first place to check for it, and most of the deposits can be found near the road along the northern border of the area.
Red Sands also has large concentrations of Tungsten, Copper, and Gold, which you’ll need later on in the game, so it’s a great secondary place to look for Aluminum and mark where you can find more resources.
Aluminum in Red Sands can be found along the border of the Iron River, and far west in the desert. Keep in mind that you’ll need a Steel Pickaxe to mine any deposits you find.
How to get a Steel Pickaxe in Once Human
You can unlock the Steel Pickaxe in Once Human once you learn how to craft Steel Ingots. The recipe is unlocked in the Memetics Menu under Infrastructure.
Once you’ve unlocked Steel Ingots, you’ll be able to craft the Steel Pickaxe at the Intermediate Supplies Workbench. It takes 10 Steel Ingots and 3 Raw Hides to craft it, then you’ll be ready to start mining Aluminum Ore.
What is Aluminum Ore used for?
Aluminum Ore is a mid-late game resource in Once Human that is used to craft advanced gear and items.
You’re going to need to reach at least Level 29 before you can start mining Aluminum, because that’s when you can unlock Steel Ingots. This is the bare minimum, though, as most of the areas where you’ll find it are higher level than that.
So, make sure that you have everything you need before you embark on your search. If you want to make it easier, have a look at where you can build your base to make resource gathering a breeze. Otherwise, there are a ton of Special Recipes that can give you a variety of buffs in more dangerous zones.
